On behalf of Evans–Kendall VFW Post 8071 & Auxiliary, Commander Bill Pierce and Auxiliary President Debera Barnes, we would like to Welcome everybody to Virginia City and the 2023 – 24 Department Commander and Department Auxiliary President’s Homecoming. We want you to enjoy what Virginia City has to offer while you are here.
Meal:
Your meal this evening has been prepared by one of the finest restaurants in Virginia City, The Café Del Rio. The meal will be Gospel Fired Chicken, the Café Del Rio’s House Specialty, served buffet style down stairs at the Silverland Inn and Suites. Cocktails start at 6:00 PM and the Dinner will be at 7:00 PM
The cost for the meals will be: $20.00 dollars a person + tip. Checks will need to be sent to VFW Post 8071; P.O. Box 693; Virginia City, NV 894440. In the memo line please state Commanders Homecoming. There is a fully equipped bar next to the Banquet Room.
Accommodations:
As many of you will be traveling from afar, we have made arrangements with several of our hotels here for housing. When calling for reservation’s PLEASE state that you are calling regarding the VFW Commander’s Homecoming. Reservations must be made by individuals attending and all unused accommodations’ will be released back to the respective Hotels on September 15th, 2023.

There are 3 rooms available at the Tahoe House, with prices ranging from $145.00 to $159.00. It is recommended that you park on B Street and walk down to the Hotel as parking can be a challenge to say the least on C Street
